{Third Season Coming to an End}

It is CRAZY to think that this is my third season is almost over! I mean, I realize that it is only August... but November is not far from us.

This summer has been (and still is) absolutely amazing and so full of love, smiles and laughter. We have had the privilege of telling so many stories and I look forward to the many stories we'll be telling in our future!

When I started this business in March of 2010 I had NO idea I would have so many wonderful experiences and such a passion and love for my job as I have and continue to. I have had the privilege of bringing some absolutely wonderful people in what has gone from being a one person show... to a full team. And I am so crazy about all of it! I love this, I love our "jobs" and I love the people I get to meet along the way, and I love our team. Anyways, when I sat down to write this post I had no intention of writing a sappy thing... I was simply writing to let everyone know that this year's season will be ending November 15th, and season four will begin January 15th. Other than a few sessions I've already been talked to about, we will not be adding anything more to our calendar.

Why do we take a break? For a few reasons:

1) The Holidays: The holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)  are an extremely busy time for everyone, and adding sessions into this time is more than the 1/2 hour or hour you might spend with us. We take quite a few hours editing and going over every detail of your session, ensuring you are going to love what you receive... this can amount to a lot of time away from our families, and we want to be with them (mentally and physically) during such precious times.

2) Revamp Time!: We spend time at the beginning of every year relaxing and not thinking about ANYTHING business. This allows us to be completely refreshed and ready for the season ahead of us! During the season we are EXTREMELY busy and go-go-go seems to be the way we run our lives. Don't get us wrong... we LOVE that... but it is so good to just stop and breathe for a bit. Which is what why we do that at the beginning of the year! Joel and I will be off for a cruise, Natasha will be having her third baby (EEEE!!!) and the rest of them will be spending time with their families.

3) Straighten Out Our Focus: We want to give every single person who comes to us the ultimate experience in storytelling. We take the time we have during the break to set new goals, look over what we've done and think about what we loved.... and what we didn't love so much. We use this time to create an even better experience for those of you who will be having your story told by us for the first time, and those of you who will let us add to your library of stories.

4) Taxes: I don't think I need to say any more about this than that one word.... 

All of this to say this:

IF YOU WANT A SESSION IN THE YEAR OF 2012... BOOK NOW.

And don't worry... we will still be in the office, emailing, planning weddings, and meeting with clients. We just won't be shooting sessions...

IT'S COMING!

I am SO excited for this...

We have a new website coming!!!

If you've visited the current website in the past month (or two... *sheepish grin*) you will have noticed it says 'under construction'. Well, after much effort and hard work I will be releasing the new website! I'm still working on it right now, but I know it will only be a few more days until everyone gets to see it. I am SO excited. It fits us, it fits our style. It's perfect.

California Love *01.18.2012*

As some of you know we are on a vacation with my family in California. (I've been blogging daily about our trip on my personal blog... if you want to view that {click here}) Today we went to the beach and I asked my brother, who shoots weddings with me sometimes, to photograph Joel and I. I am SO happy with the result! He did an amazing job and I just wanted to showcase his work here. I hope you like them as much as I do!
